Coronavirus: hospital allows ‘farewell visit’ to terminally ill patients

This Sunday’s edition of Folha de S. Paulo reveals the pain of the last hours of patients with Coronavirus, such as the Municipal Hospital of M’Boi Mirim, in São Paulo, Brazil, managed by Hospital Albert Einstein, which allows farewells to family members to those who are already considered in a terminal frame.

‘Dad, you opened your eye to me’. The phrase of consolation of a family member by the father’s ICU bed, at the moment of farewell, is quoted in the opening of the report by reporters Artur Rodrigues and Lalo de Almeida.

The hospital has become a reference in the treatment of infected people in the South Zone of São Paulo, the epicenter of the pandemic in Brazil.
