Front page of Brazilian newspapers: weekend of crowded streets

Since the beginning of social isolation, Brazilian streets have not had such a busy weekend. From the sidewalks of Rio de Janeiro’s beaches to the streets of smaller cities – many risked buying a souvenir for their parents’ days, with greater flexibility for trade. Inspection for the use of a mask remains strict, and fines are being imposed.

The return of football also marked the weekend: the biggest state in the country, Paulista, will have its great classic. Palmeiras and Corinthians face each other on Wednesday and Sunday.

The Brazilian newspapers on Monday, 3, also highlight on the cover of the possible creation of a tax, already called the ‘new CPMF‘.
