The headline of this Sunday’s edition, 14, of Jornal de Notícias, from Portugal, highlights a vertiginous drop in the number of divorces in the country during the quarantine and the explosion of cases now in the deflation.
‘In April, there were parts of the country where no one got divorced, or at least the separations were not made official’, notes the publication.

Last month alone, Portugal registered 912 separations and there seems to be a rush to formalize the process before the judicial holidays from July 16 to August 31.
According to the couples therapist interviewed by Jornal de Notícias, psychologist Rute Agulhas, ‘when young couples live longer, more problems arise’.
